You might remember an earlier maternity beach session that I posted a while ago? That lovely expecting couple just had their little Baby “J” and boy is he a cutie pie! THis couple has been so fun to work with. They have been so gracious and so wonderfully awesome to photograph. I photographed Baby “J” at his Grandmother’s beautiful home. The lighting there was just divine! I don’t know if I am just attracting beautiful homes or what but Grandother’s home was just spectacular! Nice ocean breezes and what a view! Gorgeous garden and the interior was just model perfect. So, of course I incorporated it into this newborn photo session cuz I won’t be missing out on getting some ga ga gorgeous shots with a HANDSOME little newborn dude!
This first shot is parent’s favorite from the session and one of my favs too! Dad had asked me while shooting this portion of Baby “J” if I had gotten any with his eyes opened and YES I sure did! He has his mommy’s eyes…gorgeous deep blue. Isn’t he adorable? Congrats to the “P” Family and thank you for letting me into your lifes to capture your baby’s first few days!

I still can’t get over how much gorgeous hair Baby “I” had on his little head. Look at him! Isn’t he the cutest little newborn ever? He was a really good baby model for me as well. I think he might have a career ahead of him. He was just about 2 weeks old here and just oh so tiny.
Here are a few from his newborn session. I just adore the first shot…he smiled a lot and I felt fortunate I was able to capture them for his mommy! I love smiling newborns! It’s the sweetest thing. What could they possibly be smiling about? I think being happy is just an innate thing…don’t you?
I also posted a few macro shots of his little toes and his long eyelashes….cuz I lurve those!

You might remember this beautiful expectant couple on a sneak peek that I posted a bit ago? They are expecting their first little one in September and I can’t wait to meet and photograph him! This couple was so willing to do the crazy things I asked them to do.. like hey won’t you climb up on this big rock here for me? Thanks guys you did awesome! The waves were a little higher than I anticipated but salt water is good for the skin right? I hope so cuz I got a little on my legs that evening. haha! I love the haze that I got this evening….makes for a dreamy image!

Happy Birthday Sweet Hannah and a Farwell

Some of you may remember Hannah from back in March when I had the opportunity to photograph her. She was the sweet little girl that was battling cancer. Her Aunts tell me she was a little fiesty one with so much spirit. In April she lost her battle and left this world. Definitly, not without leaving a mark. She has touched many lives including mine. She recently had her 6th Birthday and her family and friends celebrated with pink balloons, pink cupcakes and a beautiful pink sky! Happy Birthday Hannah! May you be in peace and free from pain.
God looked around His garden
And found an empty place.
He then looked down upon the earth
And saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you
And lifted you to rest.
God’s garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best.
He saw the road was getting rough
And the hills were hard to climb,
So He closed your weary eyelids
And whispered “Peace be thine”.
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn’t go alone,
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.
How sweet of you to think of her.

I love newborns..seriously I do! No matter how many newborn babies I see I am always still amazed at each one of my client’s newborn. I’m amazed at how tiny they are and how each one has a beauty of their own. Baby “B” was a stunning beautiful baby. As you can see she has a full head of gorgeous hair, beautiful skin and was oh so petite. She was tiny like her mommy…weighing in at only 6 lbs, 5 oz., but tall like her daddy measuring 19.5″. Tall and thin…you can’t complain about that! She really already looked like a model!
This lovely family lived in a very charming home. I loved the way mom decorated it. It had a cottage, shabby chic style to it. Can you probably tell by my blog posts that I also love to look at my clients homes? Not only am I a newborn photographer, graphic designer and mom, but I also went to school for Interior Design.

Beautiful Baby "R" | Orange County Newborn Photographer

It was such a great pleasure to meet beautiful little Baby “R” and her parents. She had the best eye contact for being only 7 days old. She knew something was up and didn’t want to miss a second of it but I managed to get her to fall asleep and she was a rockstar newborn model for me! My photographer’s intuition tells me she is going to be very smart. Baby “R’s” parents were so awesome and kind. They were great assistants and so very sweet.
Something I recently discovered while photographing newborns was that I found a passion for shooting newborns with their parents. I love the connection between mom and baby and dad and baby. It’s priceless! Here are a couple from yesterday’s newborn photography session.
