Just a little sneak peek for this gorgeous family of three! Baby “K” was such a little delight to photograph. He is a little older than the newborns I normally photograph but look at how alert he is at 9.5 weeks. I love his dark eyes and aren’t his parents just gorgeous? I wish I could live on their deck where they have a beautiful ocean view! Their home was just spectacular and what a place to do a session for their baby! Here are just a few photographs from their session. Thank you for looking!

Meet Handsome Baby M
July 6, 2011
No matter how many babies I have seen I am always still so amazed at each and every one that I get to photograph. Baby “M” was absolutely no exception. He was so very handsome and such a great model!! Not only was he a good looking dude, but his nursery was styl’in. Could have been in the catalog of Pottery Barn Kids! I loved the dark woods that they used in his nursery.
I could tell that little Baby “M” was surely loved. Besides his proud parents being there, his Aunt and his Grandfather made a visit. When Baby “M’s” Grandfather came in to introduce himself I could see a gleam of pride in his eyes…he was so proud to claim him as his grandson! And of course why wouldn’t he? He’s perfect!
So, I have to mention that when I stepped into thier home I felt I was walking into a model home. Not one thing was out of place. It was immaculate. Boy, did I feel like going home and straightening up my home. LOL. Ok, enough talk let me share some of Baby M’s newborn portraits that I captured! He is only 10 days new here.
You may remember this little newborn from his sneak peak a few weeks ago? Check it out!

When I had my first child I didn’t even know that Newborn Photographers existed. I didn’t realize that in the land of photography, newborns meant 2 weeks or younger. Luckily, when I was pregnant with my 2nd child a friend linked me to a local newborn photographer. I cannot tell you how much I LOVE those images. It was an investment that I do not regret.
In reality there are really only a few days in your life that you will treasure with all your heart. One of those days will most likely be your wedding day and another is the day you welcome your children into the world. These days will pass before you know it. Most save for their wedding day and lavish on a beautiful dress, a big wedding and of course the ultimate photographer. Having a child is like having a wedding. This event really should be planned out somewhat like a wedding day. I mean how often are you going to have a newborn? For most people, only once or twice.
After all the swaddle blankets are given away, after all the binkies are gone, after they are sleeping through the night and they are in their toddler bed, what are you going to treasure from their newborn stage? That Pottery Barn crib isn’t going to bring you memories that you can hold on forever. That’s been sold on craigslist and is gone.
When you are a new mom the last thing that will be on your mind is arranging for a newborn photography session. You are going to BE.A.BUSY.GIRL. and I mean BUSY. You will only be thinking of feeding, changing diapers and SLEEPING!! Scheduling your baby’s portrait session with me before you deliver is so convenient. You have your appointment on my books. You contact me when you deliver. I am there in 6-10 days. I bring my studio to your home. Done!
I get many inquiries from moms wanting newborn portraits of their 4+ week old baby. My heartaches to have to tell them that their baby has already outgrown the newborn stage for photography. Many don’t realize it but babies lose so much flexibility after only 2 weeks, they are no longer sleeping as solidly and their skin can tend to break out. All this means is that the newborn shots you see on my site are not always achievable.
Plan ahead and schedule your newborn session with me before your baby arrives! It’s not something you will regret.
Please visit my site to view my newborn and maternity galleries. Mention this article and receive 25 custom birth announcements* when you book your newborn prior to delivery.
*Not valid with any other offer.
And because a blog post just isn’t much without newborn photos…..Just a couple!

He’s just the cutest little thing with his big brown eyes. They are such a beautiful family and I love that he’s awake in all these. He has such an awesome eyes contact too. That last one of them all together is my favorite….and yes, their house is amazing looking:)
