Boys Will Be Boys! | Orange County Child & Family Photographer
February 16, 2011
I had so much fun shooting these little guys…they’re twins by the way! They are the boys of my good friend “S”. We’ve known eachother since before our children arrived and our kids are only a few days apart! So, it was a real pleasure for me to do this session! As you can see the boys are having fun being boys! I just loved these playful shots that I got of them. I also, pulled out my wide angle lens and got to use that for these shots. I love that baby…I love the way the skies look when I use this lens. Anyhow, thank you for looking and I hope you enjoy the images!

4/52 Week Challenge ~ You-Keh | Orange County Newborn Photographer
February 8, 2011
Well I’m playing catchup! I actually had my shot done last week, but just didn’t get around to posting it. The challenge was “You-keh”. If you don’t know what this is referring to let me help you out. In photography there is a term called “bokeh”. Which, means: the blur or the aesthetic quality of the blur, in out-of-focus areas of an image, or “the way the lens renders out-of-focus points of light.” So, for this challenge I wanted me to be in the blur. While I was setting up this shot my kiddos both wanted in on the action. Not sure how smart I was to let them help me in this one. I’m using the word “help” very lightly. LOL. They both wanted to paint my nails and well it was the best paint job I have ever had! LOL.

Orange County Newborn Photographer ~ Meet the Handsome Baby "P"!
February 4, 2011
Baby “P” was just the cutest baby around. He was only 12 days old when I shot his newborn photo session…it was the day prior to my 2 week Kauai vacation. I was able to get many family shots but baby “P” didn’t want anything to do with a solo model career. He was such a BIG newborn that he didn’t fit into any of my newborn props. The newborn hats and diaper covers that I had brought were all too little for this guy! Even my knitted newborn cocoon was just a tad too small for him. After trying to settle him several times we decided it was time for Baby “P” to hit the sack. I was very bummed that I didn’t get the solo shots of Baby “P” so I wanted to do a filler mini session. When I returned from Kauai Baby “P” was already 4.5 weeks old , no longer a newborn. But he was still as handsome as ever and slept for most of his session. Mom and dad requested we keep him clothed for this session and well it worked. He slept well and I was able to get some great shots of him sleeping and peacefully awake. He has such beautiful blue eyes!
So, if you know me or have been following my blog you probably are aware that I love to shoot macros of my little newborns. I was happy that I was able to get his little lips! Aren’t they scrumptuous?

Here is Baby “P” at 4.5 weeks old. Check out his baby blues! Gorgeous!!
